Kerri-Ann comes from a diverse background in the helping field. However, her journey began as a professional contemporary dancer. After a strong start as a dancer, Kerri-Ann found she wanted to use her dance skills to inspire every person and decided to choreograph, dance, teach, and puppeteer with Famous PEOPLE Players a black light theatre company. She created inspirational movement programs for several agencies throughout Toronto focused on at risk youth. Kerri-Ann wanted to increase her skills working with children and youth, and so she attended Humber College and graduated with a Diploma with honours as a Child and Youth Worker. Her background in dance and new found knowledge in counselling, she landed a wonderful position with Canada’s National Ballet School Residence. Over the years, Kerri-Ann continued to perform professionally in the world of dance, educating hundreds of dance students, writing dance curriculum and programming, providing counselling in several settings as a Child and Youth Worker, continued her education and is a Certified Yoga Instructor from Yoga Therapy Toronto, and Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist.
In 2016, Kerri-Ann completed her Massage Therapy Training at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Focusing her treatments on clients at Hospice, nursing homes, and clients with acute brain injuries as her outreach experience.
She has obtained her provincial registration in Ontario and British Columbia, trained in and holds additional certifications in: Infant Massage Teacher, Pediatric Massage Therapist, Pediatric Massage Therapist for Children diagnosed with ASD, Pediatric Massage Therapist for Children with Cancer, and was a representative of pediatric massage therapy with Liddle Kidz Foundation at this years Canadian Massage Conference.
Gentle treatments and promoting a holistic approach to healing while still utilizing advanced techniques such as myofascial release, joint mobilizations, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, breast tissue health treatment, Prenatal and Postnatal massage, trigger point therapy, facilitated stretching, therapeutic exercise.
